Punjab government submits report related to Amritpal Singh to Centre, claims links with Pakistan

Chandigarh: After the arrest of Amritpal Singh, the head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization, the central government has also come into action mode. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has sought a report from the Punjab Government on Operation Amritpal Singh. It is learnt that the Punjab government has submitted this report. On the other hand, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also submitted its preliminary investigation report to the Ministry of Home Affairs in this regard.
According to sources, the Union Home Ministry had sought a report from the Punjab government from the time Amritpal Singh was absconding to his arrest. The Centre had also sought details of those who sheltered police action Amritpal Singh and a location movement report of Amritpal. The Punjab government has submitted the entire report to the Centre. 
Sources also say that the National Investigation Agency has also submitted its report in this case to the Union Home Ministry. According to sources, the NIA, in its initial report, has mentioned Amritpal Singh’s links with Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and foreign funding.
It may be recalled that Amritpal Singh, the head of the waris Punjab outfit, surrendered before the Punjab Police in Moga on Sunday morning. Amritpal had surrendered from a gurdwara in Rode village. Amritpal was also delivering sermons at the gurdwara before his arrest.
