Punjab government to convene special session of Vidhan Sabha, likely on June 19
Chandigarh: The Punjab government is convening a two-day special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha. According to the officials familiar with the development, the special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha is likely to be held on June 19 and June 20. It is learnt that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given the go-ahead for convening the session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and the agenda of the session, which will be formally stamped by the Cabinet. Before that, a Cabinet meeting is likely to be held on June 10 or June 12.
This time too, the cabinet meeting will be held outside Chandigarh. According to sources, the Punjab government is likely to bring an important bill in this two-day special session.
Before that, the cabinet meeting is likely to discuss some relaxation in the 10-year service for the regularisation of raw employees. The government is thinking that the case of raw employees who have been serving for a long time should be considered on humanitarian grounds. The issue of agricultural diversification is to be discussed in the cabinet meeting.
