Punjab government transfers 10 IPS officers, major reshuffle in key positions

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has transferred 10 IPS officers in a significant administrative reshuffle, with several officers assigned to key posts.

Patiala SSP Dr. Nanak Singh has been promoted and given the responsibility of DIG, Patiala Range. In his place, Varun Sharma has been appointed as the new SSP of Patiala.

IPS officer Varinder Kumar has been posted as Special DGP in the Punjab Human Rights Commission. Meanwhile, ADGP NRI Praveen Kumar Sinha has been given the additional charge of ADGP Intelligence as well as Chief Director of the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab.

Kuldeep Singh Chahal has been entrusted with the additional charge of DIG Technical Services. Harjit Singh has been appointed DIG Training and given the additional charge of DIG Bathinda Range.

Tushar Gupta has received the additional responsibility of AIG Provisioning, while Maninder Singh has been assigned additional charges of both SSP Amritsar Rural and AIG Welfare, Punjab.

In another key move, Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh has been posted as AIG NRI Jalandhar.
