Punjab govt issues notification to hike sugarcane to Rs 380 per quintal

Punjab E News: In a major relief to farmers, Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday issued notification increasing the price of sugarcane to Rs 380 per quintal from the existing Rs 360 per quintal.

The farmers have been protesting against the government for the past three days citing that government had not issued the notification despite promising it last month. But now the government fulfilled its promise.
CM Mann said that unlike previous governments, AAP is a pro-farmers and pro-people government and has been working for inclusive development of the society.
