Punjab govt schools to have biometric attendants, orders issued
Punjab News: The Punjab government has issued fresh orders for government schools in the state. According to it, now the attendance of all employees will be done through biometric (BAS) attendance system. Even on Sundays or holidays, if employees move to school, they will have to mark their attendance on the BAS.
If it is not possible for the timely return of the employee who has gone out of official duty, then they will be able to register their presence on the BAS at the department he has gone to. But if the BAS machine is not installed in that place, then the attendance of the staff will be done only through the system already issued by the departmental head.
The Punjab government is emphasizing on making the BAS system effective. Along with this, many other types of changes are also being made in school education. In this direction, school principals and headmasters are being sent to Singapore and IIM Ahmedabad for special training under the leadership of education minister Harjot Singh Bains and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann.
