Punjab govt to provide 103 acres of land free of cost for NSG centre in Pathankot
Punjab E News: The Centre and the Punjab government have devised a new strategy to counter Pakistan in the border area. Now a center of National Security Guard (NSG) will be built in village Sakol of Pathankot. For this, the Punjab government will give 103 acres of land free of cost to the Center.
The Punjab government has sent a letter to the Union Home Ministry in this regard. He has also appealed that work in this direction should be done on an initiative basis.
According to the information, talks were going on between the Center and the Punjab government for about 3 years, but this project was not being completed. However, now the Punjab government has taken steps in this direction.
According to sources, earlier the government wanted the price of the land. In May, the Centre had written a letter to the Punjab government.
After this, the issue was discussed with the government, after which the project has been given the green signal. Hopefully, work will start in this direction soon. This will also boost the development of the area.
Pertinently, the focus of the government is also on cities like Pathankot these days. The government is trying to develop these cities as model cities. So that people’s living standards improve.
