Punjab Police arrest two linked to Germany-based terror module, foil IED attack plan
Ferozepur: The Counter Intelligence team of Punjab Police has arrested two operatives of a Germany-based terror module led by Gurpreet Singh alias Goldy Dhillon. The arrests led to the recovery of a 2.8 kg improvised explosive device (IED), which included 1.6 kg of RDX and a remote control.
The accused, identified as Jagga Singh and Manjinder Singh, are currently on police remand. According to Punjab Director General of Police (DGP), preliminary investigations have revealed their links to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The terror module is reportedly operated by Goldy Dhillon, a close associate of Goldy Brar and Bishnoi.
In a tweet, the DGP described the arrests as a major breakthrough and said the operation foiled an attempt by Pakistan’s ISI to disrupt peace and harmony in Punjab. The IED was intended for a targeted terror attack, the DGP added.
