Punjab to be developed as a top film city, says CM Bhagwant Mann

Punjab E News: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced ambitious plans to develop Punjab as a top destination for film production, capitalizing on the state’s rich heritage, historic architecture, vibrant culture, and natural beauty.

Mann envisions Punjab as a leading choice for filmmakers across the country and internationally, with the region’s unique appeal driving interest from the film industry and offering tremendous growth potential.

Punjab’s post-production industry is also expanding rapidly, and notable figures from Bollywood, local artists, and film industry experts have all shown interest, agreeing that Punjab is ideal for film shoots.

CM Mann plans to reach out to his contacts in Mumbai, encouraging them to invest in Punjab and explore new ventures within the state. The Punjabi film industry is already thriving, and Mann’s proposed film city would further propel its growth, turning Punjab into a major hub for film production.

Mann expressed confidence that this initiative would not only boost industrial development in Punjab but also open up significant job opportunities for local youth.

In addition to the film city project, the Punjab government under CM Mann’s leadership is promoting eco-tourism, with projects in Talwara and the Maili Dam in Hoshiarpur.

The Forest Department has outlined plans for all-weather huts for camping and an eco-park, which will include a panoramic viewing area known as “Hawa Mahal,” allowing tourists to enjoy stunning hilltop views of Talwara.

This eco-tourism project will cover an acre and aims to attract more visitors to the scenic landscapes of Punjab.
