Punjab to break 46-year-old heat record, Temperature crosses 48 degrees today
Chandigarh: According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature of cities of Punjab can cross 48 degrees today, that is, today 46 old records are expected to be broken.
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Faridkot in Punjab was recorded at 47.4 degrees last evening, which is just 0.3 degrees less than the temperature recorded on May 21, 1978.
Punjab’s maximum temperature was recorded at Amritsar at 47.7 degrees Celsius on the said date. If the heat and heat wave catch up on the third day, then today the 46-year-old record will be broken.
