Punjab to bring land records online: CM Mann holds meeting with officials
Chandigarh: Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has decided to bring the land records of the state online. In this regard, he also held a meeting with the concerned officers of the department to improve the tehsils. He said that the working language of tehsils will be made in simple Punjabi. This will not cause any problem to people to read or write records.
There may be some challenge in bringing the land records of the entire state online by the government. Because in many places, the land records are in the name of someone in the government files, while the possession is of someone else. Many joint families in Punjab have also not got the land registered in their personal names.
