Punjab water supply and sanitation department employees to get skill training: Jimpa
Chandigarh: Punjab Water Supply and Sanitation Minister Bram Shanker Jimpa informed that a skill training program has been started for Group C and D technical staff of the department. He said that while this training will improve their work, employees will also get information about the new techniques. He said that after training, the functioning of the department would also better and better facilities would be provided to the people.
He further said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeated many times that providing transparent and good governance to the people is the initiative of the Punjab government and such training programs enhance the working efficiency of the government employees, which benefits the common people.
Jimpa said that this training program would be imparted to the technical staff of Group C and D posted in all the districts with the help of Technical Education and Industrial Training Department of Punjab. The district-wise training will continue till March 2024.
Principal Secretary D.K. Tiwari and HoD Muhammad Ishfaq said that the training to be imparted under the Jal Jeevan Mission program would be for 6 days with total of 48 hours. This training would be given to plumber, fitter, electrician, pump operator and motor mechanic etc. The training of the first batch has started from August 7.
