Punjab will be tranformed into a digital hub under CM Bhagwant Mann’s leadership
Punjab E News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced plans to establish Punjab as a major digital hub in India. In a recent meeting with Teleperformance Chairman and CEO Daniel Julien on October 15, Mann discussed expanding digital business services in the state. Teleperformance, a global leader in outsourced digital business solutions with over 500,000 employees worldwide, already employs more than 16,000 people in its Mohali office, a fact CM Mann praised during the meeting.
Mann encouraged Julien to consider further expanding Teleperformance’s operations in Punjab, and Julien responded positively to the proposal. The Chief Minister emphasized that with robust infrastructure and skilled professionals, Mohali is evolving into one of India’s top IT destinations. Punjab’s growing reputation in the fields of commerce, technology, media, and telecommunications reinforces its potential as a digital and IT hub.
In a social media update on the meeting, the Punjab government shared, “Under CM Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, Punjab is on track to become a premier digital hub! With plans to expand Teleperformance’s presence in the state, this initiative will create more employment opportunities for the youth and accelerate IT development in Punjab.”
Mann assured full support for Teleperformance’s future growth in Punjab, while Julien expressed gratitude for the cooperation, noting that Teleperformance India represents one of the largest multicultural teams, serving over 200 clients across multiple industries globally.
With initiatives like these, CM Mann’s administration aims to position Punjab at the forefront of digital growth, offering significant employment and economic advancement in the state’s IT sector.
