Punjab’s improved connectivity transforms travel and boosts development
Punjab E News: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s commitment to building a vibrant and prosperous Punjab under the “Rangla Punjab” vision is driving significant advancements in infrastructure. By enhancing road connectivity and modernizing resources, the state aims to raise the standard of living, improve economic conditions, and foster overall development.
Enhanced Road Connectivity
The Punjab government is prioritizing the construction and strengthening of roads and bridges to improve travel efficiency and boost industrial growth. In the past year, the state completed the construction of 805 kilometers of roads and four bridges at a cost of Rs 400 crore. For the current fiscal year, Rs 600 crore has been allocated to continue infrastructure improvements, ensuring long-term benefits for the people of Punjab.
To further enhance connectivity, Rs 2,695 crore has been allocated for various road and bridge projects. These investments are part of the government’s strategy to ensure that every penny from the state treasury directly contributes to improving citizens’ lives and making travel smoother across the region.
Focus on Anandpur Sahib
Recognizing the historical and spiritual significance of Anandpur Sahib, the government is investing in robust connectivity for the region. Improved road infrastructure is being developed to facilitate easier travel for locals and pilgrims. Additionally, Rs 30 crore has been allocated for the construction of bridges in villages such as Khera Kalmot, Bhallari, Bela Dhiani, and Ajauli. These efforts aim to improve accessibility and enhance economic opportunities for residents of these areas.
