Red alert for heavy rains in Himachal for 3 days; Heavy rain in Chandigarh, Haryana
Chandigarh News: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for the next three heavy rains in 8 districts of Himachal Pradesh.
Due to the rains, there will be a two-day holiday in educational institutions here. The BBMB has also issued an alert to the DCs of the districts adjoining rivers about the possible danger of floods.
However, on Tuesday, people in Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur received relief from heavy humidity due to rain. Rohit Kumar, Nikka Ram and Amarjeet Singh, who had gone to help people in Fazilka’s village Jhangar Bhaini, were swept away in the Sutlej due to excessive current.
The MeT department has also predicted heavy rain in Chandigarh and Haryana areas on Wednesday.
