Rs 25 lakh looted from ATM in Phagwara

Chandigarh: An ATM of a public sector bank located on Phagwara-Pahli road was looted of Rs 25 lakh. The robbers used a gas cutter to open the ATM and decamped with the cash, police officials said.

The number of persons involved in the robbery is being investigated. Officials said that some of the notes present in the ATM have been burnt due to the use of gas curt.

SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti said CCTV cameras were being scanned to trace the robbers.
