SAD recruitment drive to begin on March 18, questions over previous membership drive

Amritsar: The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) recruitment monitoring committee, constituted by the Akal Takht, has announced that the party’s new membership drive will commence on March 18.

The announcement has raised questions about the validity of the previous recruitment conducted by the party.

Five members of the seven-member committee offered prayers at the Akal Takht for the success of the recruitment drive. The members included Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Bibi Satwant Kaur, Manpreet Singh Ayali, Santa Singh Umaidpur, and Iqbal Singh Jhunda.

Meanwhile, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Professor Kirpal Singh Badungar have resigned from the committee. The monitoring panel was formed by Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh on December 2 to oversee the recruitment process for SAD.
