Saragarhi Day today: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann to lay foundation stone of War Memorial
Ferozepur News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will visit Saragarhi Gurdwara Sahib in Ferozepur Cantonment this afternoon to pay homage to the martyrs of the Battle of Saragarhi on their martyrdom day.
The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Saragarhi War Memorial to be built at a cost of Rs 2 crore in memory of the martyrs.
A large number of people are coming to this state-level gathering to pay homage to the martyrdom of the brave hearts.
Earlier, CM Bhagwant Mann tweeted and wrote, “The battle of Saragarhi … The Battle of valour was fought… On the occasion of Saragarhi Diwas, I heartily salute the 21 warriors of the 36th Sikh Regiment who sacrificed their lives.”
