Schools shut in border areas after India’s strikes; 3 civilians killed in Pakistan firing

Amritsar: Schools in border districts of Punjab, including Fazilka and Ferozepur, have been closed following India’s precision strikes on terror launch pads in Pakistan.
Deputy Commissioners have issued orders directing the shutdown as a precautionary measure. Officials said schools will remain closed until the situation returns to normal.
Parents have been asked to stay in contact with school authorities for updates regarding the resumption of classes.
In Jammu and Kashmir, educational institutions in border areas such as Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch also remained closed on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, three civilians were killed in firing by the Pakistan Army along the Line of Control, officials said.
