District Magistrate directs district police to ensure the security of all statues of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar installed in the district

Jalandhar News: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal has directed the district police to ensure the security of statues of Baba Sahib Dr. B.R. Ambedkar installed in the Jalandhar district.

  Considering the recent incident of vandalism of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue in Amritsar, the District Magistrate has instructed the police to increase vigilance in the Jalandhar district as a precautionary measure to prevent any such acts by miscreants.

    He further directed that if any such incident that hurts public sentiments comes to light, immediate action should be taken to identify the culprits and initiate strict legal proceedings.

    Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal expressed deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident in Amritsar involving damage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s statue. Reassuring the district’s residents, he stated that the administration is committed to respecting public sentiments and will not allow them to be hurt under any circumstances. He also appealed to the residents to exercise restraint and maintain peace and communal harmony in the district.
