Seven drug peddlers arrested with 5.47 kg heroin in joint operation by Punjab Police and BSF

Chandigarh: The Punjab Police has busted an international drug smuggling module and arrested seven persons in Fazilka district. The police have recovered 5.47 kg of heroin from them.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said the arrested accused were in touch with Pakistan-based smugglers. During the operation conducted in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), the police also recovered cash worth Rs 1.70 lakh and 40 cartridges, he said.

Yadav has shared this information in a post on X. The police have registered a case against the accused under the NDPS Act and are investigating the matter.
