SGPC chief secretary rejects Indian Army claim of possible attack on Darbar Sahib

Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) chief secretary Kulwant Singh Mannan on Monday rejected claims attributed to the Indian Army suggesting a possible attack on a Golden Temple. He said he does not believe such a statement could have been made.
“Whether it is the Indian Army or the Pakistan Army, neither can even think of attacking a Gurdwara Sahib. It is a place of spiritual strength where people seek blessings, peace, and fulfilment of wishes,” Mannan said.
He further clarified that there is no confusion or curiosity among the sangat (devotees) regarding the matter, and devotees continue to arrive in large numbers to pay obeisance as usual.
Referring to videos made by a person from Haryana regarding Sikh generals, the chief secretary said that filming such content is prohibited and warned against spreading misinformation.
He added that the SGPC would pursue legal action against those responsible for such acts.
