SGPC suspends 2 sewadaar for ‘scam in langar hall’ at Harimandir Sahib

Punjab E News:  The scam in dry rotis, left out food and donation food has reached Rs 1 crore at the langar of Sri Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has also come into action after the scam came to light in the auction and sale that took place between April 1, 2019 and December 2022. Two sewadaar have been suspended and asked to deposit the money.

    SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said, “The truth about the administrative irregularities that took place in 2019 in Langar Sri Guru Ramdas Ji will be presented before the sangat in a transparent manner. It is under investigation, appropriate action will be taken against whoever is found guilty of irregularities. Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated.

    President Dhami said that the matter has been highlighted by the Flying Team of SGPC and it is being closely investigated.
