SGPC’s new chief to be elected today
Amritsar News: The decision on the president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) will be taken today. Voting will begin at around 1 pm at the SGPC headquarters.
Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami is in the race to become the Prime Minister for the third time. The Akali Dal had announced him as its candidate on Tuesday. Although his presidency will be finalized in General voting, his victory is certain. Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal has given this opportunity to Advocate Dhami for the third time.
