Shiv Sena leader shot dead in Moga, two injured

Moga: Three unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire in Punjab’s Moga district on Thursday, killing Shiv Sena Shinde president Mangat Rai Manga and injuring a salon owner and a child, police said. The attack is suspected to be linked to mutual rivalry.

According to Davinder Singh, the injured salon owner, the assailants entered his shop under the pretext of getting a haircut. As he approached them, they shot him in the leg and fled.

A child who had stepped out to buy milk was also targeted, but the bullet only grazed him.

The attackers later shot Manga on Stadium Road after he left the salon. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
