Shops in Bathinda remain closed in protest against trader’s murder, Moosewala’s father joins protest

Bathinda News: Shops in the city remained closed today as part of the ‘Bathinda bandh’ call given by the Vyapar Mandal against the killing of Mall Road Market Association president Harjinder Singh Johal yesterday.  Meanwhile, the traders staged a protest demanding the arrest of the killers of Harjinder Johal and compensation to the victim’s family.
 
        Balkaur Singh, father of late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, also joined the protest. He expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Punjab. 
      Harjinder Singh Johal alias alias Harjinder Singh Johal, owner of ‘Harman Amritsari Kulcha’ located on Mall Road near Hanuman Chowk in Bathinda was shot dead by two masked youths on Saturday evening. 
      The Bathinda police have released pictures of the attackers and announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh but they have yet failed to trace the assailants.
