Sikh activist Baba Bakshish Singh attacked in Patiala

Patiala: Prominent Sikh activist Baba Bakshish Singh was targeted in a violent attack by unidentified assailants in Patiala on Saturday night. While Singh remained unharmed, a bullet struck his car during the incident.

The attack occurred as Baba Bakshish Singh was returning to Patiala from his village, Nizamniwala near Samana, around midnight.

According to police, three vehicles—a Scorpio, a Brezza, and a Swift—began chasing his car near the new bus stand. One of the vehicles reportedly rammed into his car, prompting the driver to accelerate to escape.

The assailants fired at the car, with a bullet hitting its engine, but Singh and his driver managed to evade further harm. Following the attack, the perpetrators fled the scene.

Patiala police have registered a case against the unidentified attackers and launched an investigation.

Senior police officials, including SSP Dr. Nanak Singh, SP City Sarfaraz Alam, SP (D) Vibhab Chaudhary, CIA Patiala in-charge Shaminder Singh, and Urban Estate in-charge Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar, are overseeing the case.
