SIT investigates assault on Colonel Pushwinder Singh Bath, collects evidence
Chandigarh: A high-level Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up by the Punjab government to probe the assault on Colonel Pushwinder Singh Bath visited Patiala on Sunday to collect evidence.
The SIT obtained a DVR containing CCTV footage of the incident, which will be sent to a central government agency for further investigation.
ADGP Traffic Amardeep Singh Rai, who heads the SIT, said police officers and personnel responsible for the delay in registering the FIR would also be summoned for questioning.
Hoshiarpur SSP Sandeep Malik and Mohali SP Manpreet Singh, who are part of the SIT, were also present. However, Colonel Bath’s family did not attend the meeting with the investigation team.
