Special camps under ‘Aap di Sarkar, Aap de Dwar’ getting overwhelming response from the people- Balkar Singh

Kartarpur (Jalandhar): Under the special initiative ‘Aap di Sarkar Aap de Dwar’ launched by the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide the benefit of citizen services at doorsteps, special suvidha camps were held today at village Liddha and village Bhathe of Kartarpur constituency.

Taking stock of the services being provided to the people during the special camps, Punjab Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh said that people are giving full response to these camps. He said that the ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar’ initiative is proving to be a boon for the people. He said that on one hand these camps were givimg relief to people from visiting government offices to get their work done, it will also save their valuable time on another.

Meanwhile, Impressed by the policies of the Punjab government, a large number of people joined the Aam Aadmi Party at village Bhathe, who were welcomed by the cabinet minister.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that the main purpose of setting up a special camp under ‘Aap Di Sarkar, Aap De Dwar’ by the state government is to provide the benefit of government services near their homes and under one roof. The camps were also emerging as a platform to resolve grievances of people by hearing their issues.

The minister said that the government has also launched the helpline number 1076  which was also getting full response from the people.

He also informed that during these camps people will get various services including birth certificate, income certificate, scholarship, residence certificate, caste certificate, old age pension, payment of bills, verification of revenue department records, marriage registration, copy of death certificate, rural area certificate, fard creation, general caste certificate, shagun scheme, land demarcation, counter signature of certificates, counter signature of police clearance certificate, services og death certificate besides others. He invited the people to make maximum participation in these camps.

The cabinet minister also said that people are being made aware through publicity vans to about the public welfare schemes of the Punjab government so that they can take maximum advantage of these schemes.  On this occasion, he instructed the officials of various departments to provide relief to the people by ensuring disposal of eligible applications received in the camps on a priority basis.

On this occasion, the villagers at village Liddharan hailed effort made by the Punjab government to provide the benefit of various welfare schemes to the people near their homes. They further said that this unique initiative is also strengthening the bond of trust between the people and the government.
