Stage set for Punjab’s first-ever mega Tourism Summit and Travel Mart: Anmol Gagan Mann

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar: Exuding confidence that the first-ever Punjab Tourism Summit will revive state’s flagging tourism sector, the Cabinet Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said on Sunday said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is all set for this mega event to be held here from September 11 to 13.

Reviewing the final arrangements, the Punjab Tourism Minister Anmol Gagan Mann said that there is a huge enthusiasm in the tourism industry of the country towards the Punjab Tourism Summit, which will benefit the state in a big way in the future. She said that this multi-faceted event is being organized by the Punjab Government from September 11 to September 13, 2023 at Amity University, Sector 82, Mohali.

The minister said that this grand event will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on September 11 at 10:00 am. She said that after the inaugurating ceremony on the first day of the summit, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to inaugurate the travel mart based on tourism sector and industry.

Disclosing further details about the opening ceremony, the Tourism Minister said that about 600 eminent personalities of the country associated with the tourism industry will participate in this summit. Apart from this, celebrities associated with the film and music sector will also participate in large numbers.

Apart from this, during the inaugural ceremony, the rich cultural heritage of folk dances of Punjab will be presented by the students of Punjabi University through Sammi Dance, Ludi, Jhummar, Bhangra. Likewise, musical performances will also be performed by Dr. Nivedita and Bhai Avtar Singh Bodal.

Anmol Gagan Mann appealed to the people of Punjab to participate in the travel mart on September 12, 2023. Plenary sessions will be held after the opening ceremony. The themes include ‘Amritsar as a Wedding Destination’, ‘Heritage Tourism’, ‘Eco and Farm Tourism’, ‘Amritsar’s Hinterland and Colonial Tourism’, ‘Wellness Tourism and Media and Entertainment Tourism’.

The Tourism Minister also reviewed the overall preparations for the event and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.
