State level project “School of Eminence” from January 21
Punjabenews: The state government has already announced 117 Schools of Eminence in the state with one SoE in each constituency. This programme will be launched by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann at Indian School of Business (ISB) Mohali on 21st January.
This information was shared by Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain while reviewing the arrangements for the event at ISB. Sharing the details of the programme, she informed that there shall be launch of a special emblem for the schools of eminence. The Education Department will present the special features of these schools through a PowerPoint presentation which will be followed by a 3-D walk of the 3B1 school of Mohali. There will also be an exhibition put up by students of various government schools of the state displaying the innovative methods of teaching being deployed in the schools. The live sketch counter by a student artist of a government school shall be another attraction besides selfie point, puzzles, games and so on.
The Deputy Commissioner said that a large number of students, teachers and other dignitaries will participate in this event. She informed that the government is working constantly to raise the learning outcomes of the students and this initiative is a milestone in this direction.
On this occasion Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amaninder Kaur Brar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Damanjit Singh Mann, Assistant Commissioner (G) Tarsem Chand, Assistant Commissioner (Grievances) Inder Pal, SDM Mohali Sarabjit Kaur, SDM Derabassi Himanshu Gupta, SDM Kharar Ravinder Singh and various officials of different departments were present.
