Sukhbir Badal appears before Akal Takht Jathedar to give explanation on rebels’ allegations

Amritsar: Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Badal has reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib located in the premises of the Golden Temple. He will answer the allegations made by the rebel faction of Akali Dal.

The rebel group led by senior Akali Dal leader Prem Singh Chandumajra had reached Sri Akal Takht Sahib on July 1. He handed over an apology letter to Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh.

In this apology, the rebel faction had apologised for supporting the mistakes committed during the tenure of the Akali Dal and alleged that Sukhbir Badal had misused his influence and powers while enjoying power.

On July 15, Sukhbir Badal was issued summons to appear before it within 15 days at a meeting of the Jathedars of the five Takhts convened at Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

Yesterday, he dissolved the core committee of the Akali Dal, which includes the leaders of the rebel group.
