Sukhbir Badal’s daughter gets married to NRI businessman Tejbir Singh
Chandigarh: Harkirat Kaur Badal, the eldest daughter of former Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and ex-Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, married NRI businessman Tejbir Singh on Wednesday in Delhi. Tejbir, whose family is settled abroad, is originally from the Doaba region.
The wedding was attended by Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, and Anupriya Patel, along with political leaders from Haryana and Punjab, including Dushyant Chautala, Ajay Chautala, Abhay Chautala, SP president Akhilesh Yadav, and his wife Dimple Yadav.
Spiritual leaders such as Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar were also present. A pre-wedding celebration was held on Tuesday night, featuring a performance by singer Mika Singh, who congratulated the couple and wished them a lifetime of happiness.
Sukhbir Badal, his son-in-law Tejbir Singh, and Harkirat Kaur danced to Mika Singh’s song ‘Gabru’.
Earlier, on January 14, a Roka ceremony was held, attended by singer Afsana Khan, where Sukhbir Badal, Harsimrat Kaur Badal, and Bikram Singh Majithia performed Bhangra.
