Three Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang associates arrested after encounter in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: Jalandhar Commissionerate Police apprehended three associates of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang following a brief encounter on Monday. The incident involved an exchange of 15 rounds between the police and the operatives.

One of the suspects sustained critical injuries during the exchange and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, officials confirmed.

The police recovered six weapons and a significant cache of ammunition from the gang members, dealing a major blow to their criminal network, which is allegedly involved in narcotics smuggling, arms trade, and extortion rackets.

Punjab Police reiterated its commitment to dismantling organized crime in the state and ensuring peace and harmony.
