Bathinda: Three women farmers from Kotha Guru lost their lives in a tragic bus accident on the Bathinda-Barnala highway this morning due to dense fog. The bus, carrying members of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Ekta (Ugrahan), was traveling to attend a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Tohana, Haryana.
The deceased have been identified as Jasvir Kaur (70), Sarabjit Kaur (60), and Balvir Kaur (65), who were active participants in the farmers’ movement. They had been closely associated with the ongoing Kisan Morcha in Delhi and frequently joined protests organized by BKU Ekta (Ugrahan).
