Tragic accident in Phagwara: Birthday celebration turns fatal

Chandigarh: A tragic incident occurred in Phagwara, where a young man lost his life during what was supposed to be a joyful birthday celebration. Dheeraj Kumar, a resident of Phagwara, had gone to Patwari Dhaba with friends to celebrate his birthday. After the celebration, the group was returning to their vehicles in the parking lot when a speeding Verna car struck them.

Dheeraj Kumar died on the spot, while his friends sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a private hospital for treatment. Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the car was apprehended by bystanders at the scene.

Police arrived promptly and are currently investigating the incident based on the statements provided by Dheeraj Kumar’s brother and other witnesses. The police officer in charge confirmed that legal action is being taken.

The tragic news has devastated Dheeraj Kumar’s family, who are inconsolable as they mourn the loss of their loved one.
