Two killed, one injured as truck hits bike in Ludhiana

Chandigarh: Two youths were killed and another was seriously injured after a garbage-filled tipper truck hit their bike near Dashmesh Dairy on Tajpur Road in Ludhiana.

The deceased, both residents of Bhamian near Tajpur village, were riding with a third youth, who is critically injured and has been admitted to the civil hospital. The trio was traveling from Tajpur Chowk when the accident occurred.

Eyewitnesses said the truck driver fled the scene. Passers-by attempted to provide first aid, but two of the youths died on the spot. The injured victim remains unconscious and unable to speak.

Police from division number 7 arrived at the scene, took the bodies into custody, and sent them to the mortuary for identification. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to trace the driver.
