Two patwaris killed after car falls into canal in Tarn Taran

Chandigarh: Two patwaris died after their car fell into a canal near Kaccha Pakka village in Tarn Taran district of Punjab at around 11 pm last night.

On receiving information, the police reached the spot and took out both the bodies and sent them for postmortem.

The deceased have been identified as Harjinder Singh and Ranjodh Singh. Both are patwaris. Both patwaris were coming from Harike to Bhikkhiwind. As soon as he reached the strip near the village Kacha Pakka, the car fell into the canal.

Before people could reach for help, both of them died. Both are said to be stationed in Patti Tehsil.
