Two youths killed in road accident near football chowk in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: Two youths riding an Activa were killed in a road accident near Football Chowk in the early hours of the morning. The victims have been identified as Pankaj (31), a resident of Nizamat Nagar, and Mohit (30), a resident of Basti No. 9.

The accident occurred around 2:45 am when a black car hit their scooter near Sharanjit Hospital. A Mahindra pickup truck carrying vegetables, coming from behind, then ran over them, dragging them for a long distance. Both died on the spot.

According to family members, the two were returning from a friend’s birthday party at the time of the accident.

A case has been registered at Police Station 4 based on their statements. Pankaj had been married just three months ago, while Mohit was unmarried.
