Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has convened a meeting of chief ministers of Haryana and Punjab on December 28 to discuss the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said here today.
Khattar said the meeting to be held in Chandigarh would be attended by chief ministers of Punjab and Haryana besides officials of both the states.
“SYL is a serious matter. Union Minister Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has called a meeting in Chandigarh on December 28 on the same issue.” The chief ministers and jal shakti ministers of both the states will participate in it.
