Upset over daughter’s inter-caste marriage: Son-in-law’s suicide arrested in suicide case in Jalandhar

Jalandhar: A 55-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself in Jalandhar, Punjab on Sunday. Police have registered a case of abetment to suicide. In the case, the police have named Naval Kishore’s son-in-law Balwinder Singh, Surinder Singh and another accused.

At present, Balwinder has been arrested. The deceased belonged to the Pandit family. Her daughter had married Balwinder from another caste. He was very upset with this.

A 3-page suicide note has also been recovered from the deceased, on the basis of which the police of Maqsooda police station have registered a case based on the statements of son Abhishek.
