Vigilance personnel will no longer be able to wear jeans, T-shirts and sports shoes in the office
Punjab E News: Vigilance officers in Punjab will no longer be able to wear jeans and T-shirts. The government has issued this order for the officers sitting in the office. Now officers of all ranks will have to enter the office wearing formal attire.
The Punjab government has exempted only employees and officers on field duty as it is necessary to take various precautions while on field duty. This is the reason why the orders of the state government will be applicable only to the employees and officers sitting in the office. As a result, every officer will now be seen in a formal pant-shirt, blazer and coat instead of sitting in jeans and t-shirt.
Recently, the Punjab government had objected to the officers sitting in jeans and T-shirts in the Vigilance office. This is the reason that taking cognizance of these complaints, the state government has issued orders to the officers sitting in the office to wear formal attire.
