Vinesh Phogat meets farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, urges support for protest

Chandigarh: Haryana Congress leader and renowned wrestler Vinesh Phogat visited the protest site at the Dhabai Gujjars-Khanauri border between Punjab and Haryana to meet farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Dallewal is currently on a fast unto death, advocating for farmers’ demands.

Expressing solidarity, Phogat urged the people of Punjab, Haryana, and the entire country to support the movement.

“He [Dallewal] is risking his life for others. I appeal to everyone to join this protest. There is an emergency-like situation in the country,” she said.

Criticizing the government, Phogat stated, “The government must find a solution.

Prime Minister Modi makes big speeches, including one in Parliament yesterday, but speeches are not enough—action is needed. We must unite to show our strength and support for this cause.”
