Violence over release of Sikh Prisoners: Lawyers protest FIR against their fellow with no work today

Chandigarh: Two lawyers of the Chandigarh district court were also named as accused in the violence that took place on February 8 in connection with the release of Sikhs detained at the Chandigarh-Mohali border. Chandigarh District Court to remain suspended today.

The District Bar Association has taken this decision. The executive body of the bar convened an emergency meeting and unanimously passed the resolution.
It said that the police have registered a false FIR against advocates Amar Singh Chahal and Dilsher Singh Jandiala.
