Ensure Effective Implementation of Welfare Schemes for Ex-Servicemen and Martyred soldiers’ Families

Punjab News: Punjab Defence Services Welfare Minister Mr.Mohinder Bhagat held a review meeting at his office in Chandigarh to assess the ongoing welfare schemes for martyrs’ families, ex-servicemen and their dependents.

During the meeting, the minister reviewed the implementation of various government schemes aimed at the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. He also discussed the agenda for the upcoming events and took stock of the quarterly District Sainik Board meetings being conducted under the respective Deputy Commissioners across Punjab.

Emphasizing effective execution of schemes, Mr. Bhagat directed officials to ensure that government welfare schemes reach the beneficiaries efficiently at the grassroots level. He also instructed measures to improve the quality of Sainik Rest Houses across the state.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Defence Services welfare J.M. Bala Murugan, Director of Defence Services Welfare, Brig. Bhupinder Singh Dhillon and Deputy Director (Headquarters) Commander Baljinder Singh Virk among other senior officials.
