Winter holiday: Government clarifies teachers will also not attend school till Jan 14, read

Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ordered closure of all government, government-aided and private schools up to class 10 in the state from January 8 to 14.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the chief minister expressed concern over the inclement weather, saying it could harm the health of children. He said that this order is necessary in the interest of school going students, so schools will remain closed till January 14.

Meanwhile, Kamal Kishor Yadav, Secretary School Education has clarified that the teachers of government schools till 10th will also not attend the school and they can take classes online.
