Worried about deteriorating health of Dalewal, high level team request him to take treatment
Khanauri Border: Worried about deteriorating health of farmers leader Jagjit Singh Dalewal, a high level team of the state government and medical experts on Friday urged the agitating farmer leader to take necessary treatment for his health care.
A team comprising DIG Mandeep Singh Sidhu, Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Nanak Singh and others called on the farmer leader undergoing fast and urged him to take care of his health. The team accompanied by Health experts and a high level team of the state government constituted to take care of health of Dalewal offered quality treatment to the farmer leader. They apprised him that the vital health status of the farmers leader were not up to the mark and need immediate attention.
Though the farmer leader and his aides declined the offer by team, but the high level team insisted that the medical team of Rajindra Medical College and Mata Kaushalya Hospital Patiala have been already deployed to take care of the health of the veteran farmer leader. The officers asked the leader to continue his agitation but take the necessary medicine and liquids necessary for his health care as his life was very important for the country. They also gave the option of shifting farmer leader to Rajindra Medical College or Mata Kaushalya Hospital along with any volunteer.
They also apprised the farmer leader that Medical teams are on round the clock 24×7 duty at the protest site and Two Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulances are present on site 24×7. All the medicines and equipment required as per the guidelines of advanced life support care in an ambulance for eg. ECG monitor, Defibrillator, Ventilator, Suction machine, Oxygen with mask, Intravenous fluids, Respiratory intubation equipment, catheterisation material are readily available and functional. They asked the farmer leader to even shift to temporary hospital (make shift arrangement)
equipped with all the emergency medicines and equipment has been setup 700 meters away from the site.
They said that round the clock team of medical experts have been deployed at Make Shift Hospital adding that Make shift hospital is equipped with all the necessary equipments like Ventilator, Multipara monitor, Oxygen, Ambubag, Intubation Kit, ETT tubes, BP apparatus, ECG Machine, Defibrillator, Saturation probe, Suction machine, Ryles tube, Glucometer and all the necessary injections & medicines.
