New champion, India clinches T20 World Cup title after 17 years

New Delhi: In the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup, Team India defeated South Africa by 7 runs. India has now become the new champion of T20 cricket. The Indian team has won the T20 World Cup title after 17 years. Chasing 177 runs, South Africa had scored 147 runs for 4 wickets in 15 overs at one time.

South Africa’s victory seemed sure from here, but the Indian bowlers snatched victory from their jaws. For the first time, Rohit and Virat have won the World Cup playing together.

Arshdeep Singh conceded just four runs in the 19th over. South Africa have to score 16 runs to win in 6 balls. David Miller is on 21 runs in 16 balls. Keshav Maharaj was on two runs in six balls.

In the 18th over, Jasprit Bumrah gave South Africa the sixth blow. Marco Jansen scored two runs in four balls. India has made a strong comeback.
