New Zealand beat India by 58 runs
New Delhi: Veteran captain Sophie Devine (57 not out) struck a half-century and her brilliant strategy helped New Zealand women beat India by 58 runs in a Group A match of the Women’s T20 World Cup here today.
New Zealand also ended their last 10-match losing streak by registering their biggest win against India in T20Is.
The performance of the Indian team was very disappointing, which was dismissed for 102 runs in 19 overs without posing a challenge. India’s start was very bad.
The team lost the wicket of opener Shafali in the second over, who was caught by her off Eden Carson’s ball. Smriti Mandhana scored 12, captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 15 runs.
