Two ASIs arrested on corruption charges after plaint on anti-graft helpline of Punjab

Punjab E News (Amritsar):-  Two assistant sub inspectors (ASIs) have been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau for accepting bribe in a old case here 

    The cops were held after a complaint filed at the newly launched anti-graft helpline number by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. 

    Accused have been identified as Gurdas Singh and Balwinder Singh, both posted in Tarn Taran district. 

     Bikramjit Singh complaint of Tarn Taran district claimed that accused cops had taken bribe from him to bring undertrial Surjit Kumar lodged in Kapurthala jail on production warrant as he wanted him to be arrested in a fraud case.

     Bikramjit attached a video of the alleged crime with his complaint, following which, authorities acted and held both accused cops.
