DCW chairperson Maliwal molested, drunk driver dragged for 15 metres

New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chairperson Swati Maliwal said she was molested by the driver of the car in an inebriated state when she was inspecting the security situation of women in Delhi late last night. She said that when they caught hold of him, he put his hand in the mirror of the car.

By doing so, the man dragged her for 15 meters. “God saved my life,” she said. The situation can be gauged if the chairperson of the Women’s Commission in Delhi is not safe.
According to Maliwal, she was with her team outside the All India Institute of Medical Sciences around 2.45 am, DCP South Chandan Chaudhary said. The accused has been arrested and identified as Harish Chandra, a resident of Sangam Vihar in the city, police said.
